NEC introduces EA244wmi 24-inch WUXGA monitor

NEC has introduced a new monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution, the EA244wmi. The new screen comes in black and white versions, with the former having a -Bk suffix to its name. The EA244wmi is based on an IPS-panel with LED-backlight and has inputs for VGA, DVI-D, HDMI and Display Port. NEC claims that in EcoMode, the screen uses no more than 16 watts; exceptionally low for a 24-inch monitor.
The other specifications seem rather generic: 6ms response time, maximum brightness of 350 cd/m², and a dynamic contrast of 25.000:1 viewing angles are claimed to be 178° in both directions. NES's new monitor features 2W stereo speakers and can be adjusted in height, rotated and tilted.
The EA244wmi will be available in January and has a £299 price tag.
