HP ElitePad 900 travels to the FCC

HP revealed that ElitePad 900 wouldn't ship until January.there's less chance of any setbacks now that we know  the FCC has rubber stamped the windows 8 tablet.The version passing through the agency is a 3G model for mobile road warriors and touts the 850MHz,1,700MHz and 1,900MHz bands we'd expect for HSPA on AT&T,T-Mobile and Canadian networks.NFC exists alongside dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Specification: -The screen is a 640x480 5.0 LED backlit display.This provides 1:1 native pixel mapping on the original versions of Myst,Riven & Exile.There's a matching 4-wire resistive glass touch screen overlaid on top as the main input method,which updates at 160 samples/second with a touch resolution of 2048x2048. -The power supply is a 3-cell Lithium ion battery capable of outputting 60A of current.The power supply converts its voltage to the 12V & 5V required by the computer.power consumption is around 12 watts & the battery life is around 1.5 to 2 hours. -The CPU is an intel Z530p running at 1.6GHz,and the GPU is an Intel GMA500 chipset capable of running DirectX 9.0C graphics.The system has 1GB of RAM. -The operating system(Windows XP) 7 all software is loaded directly from a 32GB compact-flash card that reads at 22MB/s.

Samsung Galaxy Premier

Samsung officially announced Samsung Galaxy Premier.This phone is improvised version of Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3.Samsung has did some software improvement in it such as S Beam,Smart Stay,Direct Call,Pop-Up Play,and S Voice,It will be running Touchwiz nature UX on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
     The Samsung Galaxy premier includes a 4.65 inch HD super AMOLED display with a 1280x720 resolution and it is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor is supported by a 1GB RAM and 8GB/16GB storage options and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera,a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera,NFC capabilities,Bluetooth4.0,Wi-Fi,802.11a/b/g/n,micro SD support of upto 64GB and a 2100mH.so far the phone has been made official in the Ukraine it will be released Russia and Ukraine in November.
 

ZTE launches Nubia Z5 quad core smartphone

ZTE plan to reinvent itself in the high end smartphone.That's the company has just announced Nubia,which apparently means cloudy in Latin.It's also teased details of the first smartphone handset to arrive under this cloud name the Z5.The new 5-inch phone will have quad-core internals,a 13 megapixel camera and "Italian" design.
      ZTE is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company headquartered in Shenzhen China.ZTE's core products are Wireless,exchange,access,optical transmission gear,mobile phones and telecommunication software.ZTE was founded in 1985 by a group of state owned enterprises associated with china's ministry of Aerospace.

Titan Supercomputer


Titan supercomputer developed by Cray,Inc and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory is a 20 petaflop.Titan is a transformation of the jaguar supercomputer at oak Ridge to use GPUs in addition to CPUs.Titan was announced in  October 2011 and became operational in october 2012.The project at first will replace the cray XT5 computer blades which include Opteron CPUs and Tesla GPUs.According to cray overall development costs were estimated to be $97 million.The computer performs 20 peteflops or 20,000 trillion calculations per second.


                    

     It's NVIDIA'a Kepler GPUs and AMD Opetron 6274 processors doing the heavy lifting.The research will include simulating physical systems, such as Weather patterns,or progressions in energy, climate change, efficient engines,materials and other fields.Researchers from schools and universities,government labs and private industry can access Titan by arrangement.Final testing is underway by the laboratory and cray.
    There are 299,008 CPU cores,16 to each of 18,688 nodes and each node also has an NVIDIA Tesla K20 graphics accelerator.

Nook HD,HD+ Tablets coming November


The US bookseller Barnes & Noble has launched their Nook simple Touch with Glowlight in UK this october.Nook simple Touch with Glowlight will be launching alongside the NookHD+ 9-inch tablet and Nook HD 7-inch tablet which will be launched in November.
  The Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight(NSTG) is much squarer in shape and the matte rubber finish that covers the back of the device also extends to the bezel around the screen,there's a small n-shaped button given underneath the screen which is used to wake the device from sleep mode and also to turn on the glowlight.It has a 2GB of storage on board.It's also got a micro SD card slot so that can expand the storage.the 6-inch screen uses an E-ink pearl display.
    UK residents can pre-order a 7-inch Nook HD for £159 ($256) or a 9-inch Nook HD+ for £229 ($368).Nook HD+ 16GB will cost $269 and 32GB will cost $299. The Nook HD displays a features of 1440x900 pixels and HD+ will feature a resolution of 1920x1280 pixel.The dual-core OMAP 4470 processor clocks in at 1.3GHz on 7-HD tablet and 1.5GHz for the 9-inch HD+,Both contain 1GB of RAM.Nook HD will come in 8GB and 16GB and Nook HD+ will come in 8,16 and 32GB.The 7-inch Nook HD has a battery life of 4,050mAH and HD+ will have a 6000mAH. Both will run on Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich.

Canonical's one click installer lands Ubuntu on Nexus 7



If you want to run ubuntu on Nexus 7.Canonical's freshly minted Ubuntu Nexus 7 desktop installer can help.Instead of allowing Ubuntu to ride shotgun with Android,The installer requires unlocking the device's bootloader,which wipe the slate clean.Once tthe Nexus 7 is unlocked,started in fast boot mode and connected to  an ubuntu machine,The one-click installation software takes care of the rest.Roughly 10-15 minutes later ablet will be running full blown Ubuntu.since the development is currently focused on getting the core of the desktop OS up and running,there's no tablet specific unity UI to see here.
