The 13.3 inch Samsung series 5 ultra touch is the first ultrabook with a multi-touch enabled screen and windows 8 pro operating system pre-installed.The matte screen is been replaced from the previous version of its series 5 ultra with a glossy,10 point multi touch display.The ultra touch is weighing 1.73g.At a starting price of $809.99 for the corei3 version,an extra $50 will buy you a i5 version,4GB of RAM,and 500GB hard drive with 24GB Expresscache Samsung's term for high speed solid state storage directly on the logic board.
The company also took a minute to touch its renamed Ativ smart PC 500t and 700T windows 8 tablet,will be selling for $749.99 and $1,199.99 respectively,while both will be running windows 8 and not the more limited windows RTthat extra $450 will buy you a i5 processor.
All of these will be available on october 26th that's official launch date,Samsung is first to market with its windows 8 ultrabook,more will be on the way soon.To keep its edge,Samsung has attempted to spice things up by bundling a few custom apps with the ultra touch.Samsung's Music,Video,Media and social hubs are all present in the All share app,Which help you share content across different devices.Samsung is including a few desktop applications designed to soften the learning curve for people new to windows 8.
